'Rise and Shine'
Had a wonderful time volunteering at Ice and water but they actually didn't sell patrons water. I think FloydFest admin wanted to promote bring own container to drink the available free water near Yurt. Also program details on Ferrum Colleges 'pickin' Shack which is located beside the Camp store. Some patrons thought it was at the workshop stage. I saw the Ferrum College FloydFest coordinator in one of the stores in Floyd! What a coincidence to meet her. She said that they plan to do a better job of title clarification in the program listing for next year. Being on site was fun too. The first year when it was started, had to take bus. Stayed with Clysta's sister nearby. Last year stayed at 'Power to the People' camping area. This year the name was changed to the 'Delta' camping area. A Alpha lot was created for parking and whatever you could carry in your lap you took with you on the shuttle bus. There were 4 color coated lines created for attendees to check in their gear. Volunteers had a separate gear check in. I wasn't aware. I told the parking and the person collecting the 20 dollars for parking that I was a volunteer. They told me wear to park and told me to check fear into the orange check-in. This is the first year that they have had this setup. Attempt to have most people camp on festival site. Will discuss that in another post.
